one of my favorite recipes is peanut butter bats. they are almost as good as candy corn and your mom can't yell at you for eating them because they're actually GOOD for you! here's how i make them:

ingredients:
- peanut butter
- 2 slices of bread (i like pumpernickel 'cuz it makes the bats look black)
- any other filling you like (i like grape jelly 'cuz it makes them look purple AND ickky)

directions:
- take a bat-shaped cookie cutter and cut a bat shape out of each slice of bread
- spread one bat with peanut butter (i like to make it about an inch thick)
- spread the other with the other filling (this can be a gooshy as you like)
- eat
makes one peanut butter bat.
. . . however i would make extra in case while you're cleaning up and you turn your back on your wonderful, gooshy, pumpernickel peanut butter and grape jelly bat that you spent a half hour getting just right happens to be STOLEN by your stupid little brother, who bites the wings off and leaves the rest. (i'm SO going to get him...)
