yummy ham & cheese bats
this is a variation on peanut butter bats for all of you carnivores! it's pretty yummy and just as easy.
ingredients:
  • sliced ham
  • slices of cheese (i like cheddar or pepper jack cheese)
  • 2 slices of bread (i like pumpernickel for this recipe too!)
  • any spread you like (i like butter, but my mom likes mustard - yukk!)

directions:
  1. take a bat-shaped cookie cutter and cut a bat shape out of each slice of bread
  2. cut a bat shape out of the ham and cheese slices - you can make as many as you want - it'll just make the bat thicker!
  3. slather each bread bat with your favorite spread so the ham and cheese will stick to the bread
  4. stack the ham and cheese bats on one of the bread bats (spread side up)
  5. put the other bread bat on top (spread side down)
  6. munch
makes one ham & cheese bat.

i suppose you could use any sliced meat that you want, like bologna or turkey or chicken or pickle loaf (whatever that is) or you could just use lots of cheese. and i would make a lot of these, too, in case you have a hungry relative in the house - like your stupid little brother who thinks that you're making all this stuff for him. (why doesn't he make his own lunch?)
