fun batty sandwiches
this sandwich can be made with any cookie cutter shape you like and anything you want inside. well, i guess i wouldn't put squid or eels or snails or something like that inside - it might leak out!
ingredients:
  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 1 slice of dark bread (i used pumpernickel for this one)
  • any filling you like (note the warning above)

directions:
  1. take a bat-shaped cookie cutter and cut a bat shape out of the one of the white slices of bread
  2. cut a bat shape out of the dark bread
  3. put the dark bat shape in the hole of the white bread (you can save the white bread bat for peanut butter bats)
  4. add the sandwich filling to the plain piece of white bread
  5. top sandwich with the bat slice
  6. eat with potato chips or pretzels
makes one batty sandwich.

i made this sandwich with peanut butter and grape jelly (one of my favorites). you can also switch which kind of bread is in the cookie cutter hole so that you have a white bread bat in a pumpernickel slice. that makes it a nighttime sandwich.
